Meet Dr. Christa Riley

Dr. Christa Riley is a board-certified anesthesiologist and the owner and medical director of the Ketamine Healing Clinic of Los Angeles. She specializes in evidence-based ketamine infusion therapy for individuals experiencing chronic pain, depression, PTSD, anxiety, and related conditions. Her clinical background in anesthesiology provides a deep understanding of pain physiology, trauma, and the safe administration of medications that directly affect the central nervous system.

Throughout her career, Dr. Riley has cared for patients in high-acuity medical environments, managing complex pain conditions and administering anesthetic and analgesic medications with precision and vigilance. This expertise is particularly well suited to ketamine therapy, which requires expert dosing, continuous monitoring, and a comprehensive understanding of how ketamine interacts with the brain and body to support healing and neuroplasticity.

Dr. Riley is also a military veteran who served in Afghanistan. Her service profoundly shaped her understanding of trauma, resilience, and the lasting physical and psychological effects of high-stress environments. This lived experience allows her to approach the treatment of PTSD and trauma-related conditions with both clinical expertise and genuine empathy, recognizing that pain and post-traumatic stress are not always visible and must be addressed holistically.

At Ketamine Healing Clinic, Dr. Riley’s mission is to provide safe, compassionate, and innovative ketamine infusion treatments for patients who have not found relief through traditional therapies. She is deeply committed to individualized care, patient safety, and fostering a supportive environment where meaningful healing can occur. By combining advanced anesthesiology expertise, specialized ketamine therapy training, and her perspective as a veteran, Dr. Riley delivers care that is both medically rigorous and deeply human—helping patients reclaim function, relief, and quality of life.

Meet Katie Besanko, PA

Katie began her career as a registered nurse in labor and delivery, working in Boston and California. She supported patients through their labor process and some of the most meaningful, vulnerable moments in their lives. These experiences shaped her understanding of how deeply physical, emotional, and psychological experiences are intertwined and continue to inform how she practices today.

She later completed advanced medical training, earning her Master’s degree from the Keck School of Medicine of USC as a Physician Assistant. Katie works at the Ketamine Healing Clinic with patients seeking treatment for depression, anxiety, chronic pain, and trauma-related symptoms. In this role, she helps you prepare for treatment, provides clinical support during sessions, and guides the integration process afterward.

Katie approaches ketamine therapy with medical awareness and a trauma-informed perspective, recognizing that long-standing stress and life experiences can influence the nervous system. She emphasizes preparation, safety, and will help you translate insights from your infusion sessions into grounded, practical changes in daily life.

She also draws from the Psycho-Neuro-Endocrine-Immunology (PNEI) framework — the study of how the nervous, endocrine, and immune systems interact and influence overall health. This perspective informs her integrative approach, including attention to lifestyle, nutrition, supplementation, and supportive practices that can complement medical treatment and promote your long-term resilience.
